Acting Through Play – Chesterfield
Tuesday August 20 | 11:00 am-11:45 am
Join us on the third Tuesday of each month at CMoR Chesterfield for Acting Through Play with Faith Rocks Performing Arts Academy!
What to expect: Each class begins with play! Shea Edwards starts every class with getting the students comfortable on the stage via movement and song. A series of short form improvisation games and activities are to follow, increasing skills in teamwork, observation, focus and listening. Students will gain confidence and understand the importance of speech articulation and vocal projection through fun exercises. Shea’s goal is to help young performers become comfortable using their body as a powerful instrument for storytelling. Theater games, imaginative play and emotional work will add to the most engaging, well rounded, introduction to the craft of acting class in RVA! See you on the CMoR stage!
What to bring: Comfortable shoes, water and joy!
This event is included with general admission to the Museum.
