Craft 1: Leprechaun Paper Plate Mask

Materials:

  • Paper plate
  • Green, Black, and Gold construction paper
  • Orange marker
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Step one: Cut out the middle of the plate and color the outside part orange

Step two: Cut out a hat shape in green construction paper, a black line for the belt out of black construction paper, and a small square out of yellow construction paper for the belt buckle.

Step three: Glue the shapes together on top of the paper plate.

Craft 2: Rainbow Chain Hanger

Materials:

  • Construction paper (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black)
  • Stapler
  • Tape (optional)
  • Scissors

Step 1: Cut the rainbow construction paper into strips.

Step 2: Roll the red strip into a circle and staple it.

Step 3: Thread the orange strip through the red circle, then staple it into a circle.

Step 4: Repeat with all your colors, except black.

Step 5: Using the black construction paper, cut out a pot/cauldron shape. Also, cut a black strip for the pot handle.

Step 6: Staple the black handle to one end of the pot. Then thread the strip through the purple circle, and staple it to the other end of the pot.

Step 7: Cut yellow pieces of paper into circles for the gold. Staple or tape them to the back of the pot.

Craft 3: Pot of Gold Paper Plate

Materials:

  • Paper plate
  • Green and yellow construction paper
  • Markers (Rainbow colored)
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Step one: Cut out the top half of the middle of the plate. Color the bottom half black or brown.

Step two: Cut out a small three-leaf clover and glue it to the brown part.

Step three: Cut out little gold circles for the gold and glue them on.

Step 4: Color the top of the paper plate like a rainbow!

Craft 4: Shamrock Shaker

Materials:

  • Paper plate
  • Fabric
  • Green and orange marker
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Dry beans, rice, corn or beads (to make the sound)

Step one: Fold the paper plate in half.

Step two: Place a piece of tulle or fabric inside the paper plate, with a fair amount sticking out.

Step three: Staple the plate together, leaving only one small hole.

Step four: Color the plate.

Step five: Pour a scoop of your noisemaking material into the small hole. Staple the hole shut.

Step six: Cut the sticking out fabric into strips.

Step seven: Shake, shake, shake!
