“Circle Time at Home” is a children’s television program that involves local volunteer teachers, musicians, artists and community partners (that’s US!). Produced by VPM and the Excellence in Children’s Early Language and Literacy (ExCELL) program, “Circle Time at Home” premieres Monday, September 14 at 10:30 a.m. on VPM PBS. Its intended audience is preschool and kindergarten-age children and their families. This clip offers a sneak peek at a lesson about rhyming words, incorporating both English and Spanish vocabulary.
The Children’s Museum of Richmond was tickled to be able to provide museum space to record several of the learning segments. Look closely to see if you can recognize our exhibits. You might see Little Farm or the School…We loved being a part of this endeavor and hope that lots of children get the benefit of the of the program and deepen their learning by participating!
