Meet Our Partnership for the Future Interns!

Hello, my name is Yasmin! I am a senior at Varina High school. I am also in an awesome academic program called Partnership for The Future. They help me maintain the knowledge that I need to advance my education. When I graduate high school in 2024 I would like to attend Howard University and become a pediatric travel nurse. Receiving this internship here at CMoR will allow me to get the traits that I would need to work with children the right way. I know I’ll have to deal with sick children who aren’t able to communicate like us teens and adults. Therefore, I have great faith that CMoR will teach me great communication skills when talking to kids. I know I’ll get the change to grow and enhance my resources because of this amazing opportunity!

Hello, my name is Jeanae! I am currently a senior at Jr. Tucker High School in the Center for Spanish Languages and Global Citizenship, as well as being a proud student of Partnership for the Future! It is a program based to help students starting from their freshman year of high school up until they graduate with college and career sources and ways to further our education. After I graduate in May on 2024, I would like to attend James Madison University and double major in education and business. This internship at the Children’s Museum was an excellent opportunity for me to work alongside young children and learn the many different aspects of working with them on a daily basis! I can’t wait to learn and experience new skills during this internship so that I am able to implement those skills in my career after college!
